Back in the day, lovers would go weeks, months, without seeing each other, forced to communicate through letters which would take just as long to get from one person to another. That’s why I don’t get what all the fuss is about. These days, when someone learns you’re in a long distance relationship, people immediately doubt you — more so when circumstances force the communication to be irregular. I mean, last time I checked, relationships and marriages in the “old” days, with the more difficult communication and everything, lasted way longer than the ones we have in the tech-savvy present. Maybe there’s a lesson to be learned there…To be more independent; to be more patient; to love without getting tired.
